Oliver is such a joy! He is such a well behaved and well mannered dog. He did exceptional while I was home visiting my parents (who adore him) and with people in and out for the holidays. It is going to take some time for him to realize that my parents cats are friends and not play things but just in the week I was down visiting he made tremendous improvement. Nothing some
training and positive reinforcement cant fix.
He is enjoying the dog park, hanging out at dog friendly spots around town, daily walks along the river, and he even loves to fetch sticks out of the water. He is quickly getting in shape and trading in fat for muscle. I got
him groomed and you would not recognize him! He is such a handsome boy and his coat is velvety soft.
I noticed that he was having difficulty on my linoleum floors and seemed to have trouble supporting himself without slipping. He also seemed to be weak/sore in the hind end.The vet took X-rays and discovered early signs of hip dysplasia. The vet assured me that if Oliver went on joint supplements and lost some weight that he will likely live a normal life. He is on supplements and doing fantastic, I see improvement in his mobility every
I can't thank you enough for the work that you do and for trusting me to be Oliver's forever home. He could not be a more perfect match for me! Our personalities completely complement each other and we are a perfect pair.
I hope you, the staff, and all the animals have a great new year!
