Channing along with 8 other dogs from Conroe animal shelter went on transport to Foothills animal shelter in Golden, CO. He and the other 8 dogs were adopted within 4 days. Here is what Channing's new family wrote about him:
We adopted Channing, our new 56 pound boy to our family of four last Saturday. He was happy dog in the kennel. During the visit he rolled on his back and won the family over by just wanting his belly rubbed. He still does it quite a bit and likes to be in the room where everybody is. When we first brought him home we let him loose in the fenced-in backyard and he ran the perimeter of the yard in the sun as happy as a dog can be cutting corners and kicking up grass on the run. The first night he slept downstairs looking at the front of the door but now sleeps in the bedroom amongst the resident felines. After a day of rest I took him for a run and shortly found out that I was slowing him down so I asked him to trot and not gallop. He runs and walks really well and is such a well adjusted dog. Thanks you all for being kind to him and giving him a a second chance for a forever home. We are thankful for Channing and what he means to our family. We've been looking and waiting for the right dog. My son (2 1/2) and daughter 4 1/2) are having so much fun with this big softy dog not to mention me and my wife.
Blessing to you all!
Dennis, Trina, Kara & Zach
