2 years ago I went to the Wild Game cook -off at Ransom's in Montgomery county. The nice volunteers of ASVT took me and my friends hoping we would get adopted. Well I hit the jackpot when Katie adopted me. She thinks I am the best dog ever and I agree with her. Thanks ASVT.
Buck with his new mommy Rachel! Rachel's beloved dog recently passed (we are so sorry) and understandably, she wasn't quite sure she was ready for another pet. She peeked in our adoption room at Petco "just to look." But that one look was all it took for her to fall instantly in love with Buck and him with her! Rachel has already called Buck's former foster mommy, Debbie, to tell her how "perfect" Buck is and how happy they are with him!
Daisy was turned into the Conroe Animal Shelter because her owners no longer wanted her. The shelter manger worked hard trying to find a rescue group to take Daisy. She contacted Save the Giants and they were able to take Daisy. Crystal at Save The Giants kept Daisy until she was able to find a foster home for her. Daisy is now in her foster home and we will keep you updated on when she gets adopted.
Just wanted to give a little update on Molly, now known as Maddie. We just love her and so does her older brother and sister. She does NOT have mange so that is the good news! She does have a skin infection and allergies but the meds and shampoo had a good start putting her on the mend. She itches herself bloody so we have to put socks on her back feet to minimize the damage. She did test heavy heartworm positive but after doing x-rays my vet says that her heart is not enlarged and lungs sound fine we will do the slow kill with doxy and Heartgard. We will schedule her spay in a couple weeks after her follow-up and monitoring with her first Heartgard. She is a little escape artist too but we now have that under control. Here are a couple pictures….thanks for letting us adopt her, she is a great addition to our family!
Thank you Bobbie for taking on this girl and for knowing heartworms are not a death sentence.
